Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Alexander Pichushkin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Erasmo Trout (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Alexander Pichushkin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Erasmo Trout!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Matti Vanhoillinen and Johanna Lukiainen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Trout on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Pichushkin misses with a left hand

and Trout counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Trout.
Pichushkin throws a punch but it's blocked by Trout.
Pichushkin wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Trout has him pressed against the cage.

Trout breaks from the clinch.
Pichushkin really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Trout closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Pichushkin quickly recovers to half guard.
We've been hearing good reports from Pichushkin's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Trout seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Pichushkin does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Trout wants to free his trapped foot but Pichushkin is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Pichushkin is trying to stand up here but Trout is controlling him well.
Pichushkin keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Trout prevents Pichushkin from standing back up.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Erasmo Trout wasn't active enough on the ground.
Trout uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Pichushkin.
Pichushkin takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Pichushkin throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Trout keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Trout moves into the clinch successfully.
Pichushkin tries to break the clinch but Trout is controlling the position.
Trout fails to pull the fight into his guard.
A frustrated look appears on Pichushkin's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Pichushkin is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.

Trout has picked Pichushkin up - he's going for a ride! Trout dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Pichushkin is trying to stand.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Trout is trying to control the action in half guard but Pichushkin is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Trout prevents Pichushkin from standing back up.
Trout is pressing down on Pichushkin's thigh, looking to free his foot. Pichushkin is holding on for now.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Erasmo Trout wasn't active enough on the ground.
Trout fails to land the takedown.
Pichushkin displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Trout.
Alexander Pichushkin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Erasmo Trout.

Trout rushes Pichushkin and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Pichushkin wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Trout has him pressed against the cage.
Pichushkin is pressed up against the cage. Trout has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Pichushkin down to the mat. Pichushkin avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Trout dives in for a single leg takedown but Pichushkin sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Pichushkin wants to break free but Trout has control.
Pichushkin throws a punch but it's blocked by Trout.
Trout has Pichushkin pressed against the cage, preventing Pichushkin from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Trout escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Trout fails with the takedown.
Pichushkin lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Trout wants to clinch.
A swing and a miss from Pichushkin.
Pichushkin misses with a looping left.
Trout doesn't manage to clinch there - Pichushkin circles away.
Trout lands with a nice body kick.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Pichushkin throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Trout forces Pichushkin back against the cage and clinches.

Trout decides to pull guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Trout wants to stand up but Pichushkin is controlling him.
Trout is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Pichushkin has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Pichushkin wanted to stand there but Trout had control of the position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Trout closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Erasmo Trout dominated that round.
That's time! Back to the action!


Pichushkin lands a jab.
Trout has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Pichushkin misses with a jab, cross combination.
Erasmo Trout is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Pichushkin misses with a two punch combination.
Trout takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Nice cross by Pichushkin.


Trout is rocked!
Pichushkin is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Trout looks up at the clock. Bad move! Pichushkin lands a right hand from hell, dropping Trout. Pichushkin pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:31 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Alexander Pichushkin!
A very excited looking Alexander Pichushkin made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
