The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

RaChel has taken the fight to the clinch.

RaChel wants the takedown. Klasson is fighting it off but RaChel persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Klasson's guard against the cage.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

RaChel decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Klasson, up you get!

A momentary lapse in concentration from RaChel enables Klasson to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. RaChel manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

RaChel had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Klasson defends it easily.

RaChel is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Klasson tries to free his leg and advance position but RaChel is retaining full guard.

RaChel is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Klasson defends well.
RaChel bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Klasson's guard.

RaChel drops back looking for a leg! Klasson is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Klasson manages to kick RaChel off! RaChel jumps back into Klasson's guard.
RaChel is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Klasson is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst RaChel is controlling him.

RaChel stays in close to Klasson's body and controls the position.

Klasson shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with RaChel but RaChel pushes him off and we're back to square one.

We've been informed that Klasson has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Sam RaChel has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kazimeras Klasson.
