Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jay Fall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Buster Knott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Knott has chosen Kanye West vs. The xx - Touch The Sky (Carlos Serrano Mix) as his entrance music. Buster Knott has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jay Fall!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Buster Knott!
The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Winston Alpacca and Sandra Marshall.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Knott. No joy for Fall on that attempt.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Fall seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Fall is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

We're going to have a standup here because Jay Fall wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Fall dodges the punch combination from Knott.

Fall decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Fall could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Fall is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.

We're going to have a standup here because Jay Fall wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Knott dives in for a single leg takedown but Fall sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Knott's coach down at Evil Emp-HEAD HUNTERS FIGHTCLUB 160pw EliteSparrin was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Knott's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Knott wants to break free but Fall has control.

Fall has clasped his hands together around Knott's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Knott prevents Fall from moving into mount.
Knott is letting Fall control him for a moment.
Fall looks up at the clock and then as Knott takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Fall smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Fall is staying tight to Knott's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Fall misses with the ground and pound.
Fall looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
You can see the frustration on Knott's face as Fall controls the position.
Fall tries to move to mount but Knott blocks the move with his legs.

Fall wants to control but Knott is keeping him busy.
Fall working the ground and pound but Knott is defending the strikes.
Fall remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Fall looking to control but instead Knott has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard.
Fall is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Knott reverses the position - he's now on top in Fall's guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Fall is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Buster Knott seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Knott rushes Fall and presses him up against the cage.

Knott has Fall pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Knott pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Fall tumbling to the mat - Knott dives into Fall's guard.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Fall is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Knott throws a chopping leg kick but Fall manages to avoid taking any serious damage.

Knott is trying to control the action in half guard but Fall is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Fall on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Fall tries to get out of the position.

Knott is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Fall doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Knott.

Knott can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Fall is looking to escape.

Knott wants to control the pace but Fall is squirming around nicely.
Knott might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Fall haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Buster Knott showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Knott gets underhooks to prevent Fall's takedown attempt.
Fall wants a takedown but no success here.
Knott misses with a body punch.

Knott has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Knott is defended easily by Fall.
Knott lands with a good body shot.

Knott shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Fall sprawls well. Fall wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Knott gets slowly back to his feet.

Knott throws a shot from downtown. Fall moves away and avoids it.
Knott takes a swing at Fall's ribcage but misses.
Nice sprawl there from Fall as Knott shoots in.

Fall closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Fall slows the pace down in half guard.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

After the fight, Buster Knott was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
