The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Yukihiro Shimada and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Excellent takedown into side control there by Flores.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Flores tries for a kimura but Sloan is defending well.
Sloan is working to avoid the ground and pound but Flores connects with a decent elbow.
It looks like Jody Sloan has been cut.
Flores tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Flores has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Sloan is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Sloan is defending against the submission attempts here by Flores.
Flores is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Sloan might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
