The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ali throws a hook to the side of Austin's head but Austin sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Austin fails in his attempt to clinch.
Ali clobbers Austin with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Ali thuds his right hand into Austin's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Austin moves in looking to clinch but Ali pushes him off.
Ali looks to score with a jab to the body but Austin is just out of range.
Austin throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Ali.
Ali throws a lazy uppercut
and Austin counters with a left to the body.
Ali loads up on a big right hand but Austin slips the punch.
Ali lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Ali dodges the punch combination from Austin.
Jack Austin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

A looping hook to the body misses from Austin. Ali does a little dance to reset his feet.

Austin has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Ali shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Austin rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Ali moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Austin is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Austin takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Ali ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Austin moves away.

No joy there for Ali, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Austin tries to clinch but Ali moves out of range.

Ali comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Austin lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Ali at a distance.
A punch lands to the side of Austin 's head but he takes it in his stride.

Ali sends Austin crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Ali is motioning to the referee to let Austin up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

and Ali counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Austin is still on wobbly legs! Can Ali finish him?
Ali looks to score with a jab to the body but Austin is just out of range.
Ali drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Austin right on the button. Austin goes down! Ali follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Ali gets the win via TKO!

Muhammad Ali spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
