Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bruce Rock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and jj Nate (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bruce Rock is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Bruce Rock!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, jj Nate!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Viktor Lagutenko and Vladimir Khabensky.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rock darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Nate looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Rock trying to mount his opponent but Nate defends it.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Rock in particular looking to stall.
Nate trying to control here.

Rock seems to be working for a kimura but Nate defends the submission attempt.
Ground and pound from Rock.

Rock will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Rock changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Nate tries to avoid it but Rock manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Nate to the ground. Nate escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
jj Nate seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rock shoots in and drives through. Nate sprawls well.

Nate drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Rock tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Nate wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Rock is trying to control Nate's posture but Nate avoids it.
Nate tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.

Rock is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
What's Rock going to do here then? He's in a bit of a pickle.
Rock wants to control but Nate postures up.

Rock stops Nate from passing to mount.
Nate trying to control the position but Rock is working away.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Rock misses with a kick to the body.

Nate closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Rock quickly recovers to half guard.
Rock trying to control but Nate postures up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but jj Nate will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Rock dives in for a single leg takedown but Nate sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Rock has picked Nate up - he's going for a ride! Rock dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

Rock is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Nate defends it well.
Rock is looking to take a break and control but Nate is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Nate tries to roll over but Rock keeps him under control.
Nate takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Rock is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Nate doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Rock.
Rock seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Nate does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Bruce Rock overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Rock looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Rock shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Rock was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
