Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Branson OToole (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shael Connen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). OToole kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Danny Boy. Branson OToole could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Shael Connen's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
OToole digs a good body shot into Connen's ribs.
OToole lands a head shot.
Connen shoots in looking for a takedown. OToole tries to sprawl out of it but Connen keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. OToole manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Connen has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Connen doesn't succeed with the takedown
and OToole counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

OToole instigates a clinch.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Connen tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. OToole just stands there and leans against the cage.
Branson OToole has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Shael Connen.
Connen's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
OToole gets through Connen's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

Connen is trying to pull guard but OToole has him pressed against the cage.
OToole lands an uppercut in the clinch that drops Connen to his knees! OToole keeps firing more shots against his stricken opponent and the referee jumps in to save him!

Branson OToole was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
