The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Robert Twigg and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Biers fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Biers tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Oconner paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Biers looks to land a combination but Oconner avoids it well.
Biers tries to clinch there but Oconner circles away.
Biers misses with a takedown
and Oconner counters with a leg kick.
Biers throws a body kick that misses.
Oconner tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Oconner lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Biers shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Oconner as he jumps to the side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Riley Biers. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Biers sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Biers really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Biers is breathing heavily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Oconner throws a nice outside leg kick.
David Oconner seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Oooooh!!! Oconner has knocked Biers down with a huge combo! Oconner steps away and waves a wobbly Biers back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Biers is rocked!
Biers wants to stay close but Oconner steps back to make room for something. Biers seems frozen to the spot and bam! huge swing of the leg from Oconner and Biers drops like he has been shot! A huge head kick and it's all over!
