Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Borat Sagdiyev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shuya Nanahara (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sagdiyev comes to the cage accompanied by Mamaliga. Nanahara has chosen First Of The Year (Equinox) as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
17 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Borat Sagdiyev!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
7 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Shuya Nanahara!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Steve Smith and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nanahara lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Nanahara misses with a straight right.
Nanahara digs a good hook to Sagdiyev's body.
Nanahara misses with a jab, cross combination.
Nanahara has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Sagdiyev is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Nanahara throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Nanahara throws a predictable looking body shot
and Sagdiyev counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Nanahara is lucky that one didn't land flush.
A slow jab from Nanahara misses its intended target.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Nanahara swings for the body but Sagdiyev moves out of range.
Nanahara takes a swing at Sagdiyev's ribcage but misses.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Sagdiyev ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Nanahara pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Sagdiyev moves away from the strike by Nanahara.
Nanahara scores with a nice head shot.
Nanahara shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Sagdiyev eats them both and turns towards Nanahara to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Nanahara throws a looping overhand right but Sagdiyev ducks down to avoid it.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Nanahara connects with a single shot there.
Sagdiyev gets caught by a brutal right hook which buckles his knees! Sagdiyev tries to backpedal with his spaghettilegs but Nanahara is headhunting and goes for the kill. A jab and a right hook connect and Sagdiyev buckles badly as his eyes roll back. The referee steps in and saves Sagdiyev!! Sagdiyev is complaining but he was clearly out on his feet. Nanahara throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Mmmm spit-tastic.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:14 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Shuya Nanahara!
Shuya Nanahara is the new light heavyweight champion!
Shuya Nanahara decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
