The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
bananahammock lands with a kick to the temple. Yang shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

It looks like Ken Yang has been cut.
bananahammock looks for a takedown but Yang sprawls well.
bananahammock takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
bananahammock tries a head kick but it misses.

Yang forces bananahammock back against the cage and clinches.
Yang makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
bananahammock jumps guard but Yang stands there with bananahammock around his waist. bananahammock gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Yang tries to land a knee to the head but bananahammock blocks with his arms.

Yang pulls bananahammock into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Yang kicks bananahammock off and gets to his feet.
Yang pulls out of a head kick attempt.
bananahammock tries for a takedown but Yang sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Yang wants to stand but bananahammock has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Yang drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Yang jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
bananahammock will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
bananahammock is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Yang would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
bananahammock fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Yang on the side of the head.

and Yang counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

bananahammock had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Yang is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. bananahammock Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Yang's back instead.
Yang tries to escape but bananahammock has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
Yang avoids the strikes from bananahammock.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

bananahammock is looking for the choke from the back position but Yang is controlling his hands well.
Yang trying to control the hands but bananahammock won't let him.
Yang tries to roll but bananahammock sticks to his back.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
bananahammock is looking to finish with some ground and pound!
bananahammock has the hooks in. Yang is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.

bananahammock has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Yang is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.

bananahammock is cranking Yang's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Yang! He's tightened the choke and Yang is tapping out!
