The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mafarrico fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Mafarrico throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Brat's waist but Brat gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Mafarrico off to one side.

Brat shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Brat showed some decent athleticism there.
Brat passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Mafarrico!

Brat is working for a guillotine from mount but Mafarrico frees his head quite easily.
Mafarrico is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Brat takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mafarrico has given up his back here. Will Brat look for the submission or keep pounding away?

Mafarrico drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Mafarrico jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Mafarrico stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Brat swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Mafarrico drops back looking for a leg! Brat is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Brat manages to kick Mafarrico off! Mafarrico jumps back into Brat's guard.

Brat manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Well, if Brat is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Brat closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Mafarrico to the mat! Mafarrico manages to get full guard.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
You can see the frustration on Mafarrico's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Brat quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Mafarrico has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Brat celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
