Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Mikko Sinkila!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Tommy Gunns!
The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Dirk Anderson and Winston Alpacca.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sinkila shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Gunns sprawls well. Gunns wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Sinkila gets slowly back to his feet.
Gunns shoots in looking for a takedown but Sinkila manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Gunns's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Gunns is looking to clinch.
Gunns misses with a low kick.
Gunns wants to clinch up but Sinkila keeps it at a distance.
Gunns shoots and misses
and Sinkila counters with a straight right hand.
Sinkila tries to bum rush Gunns with a series of wild strikes but Gunns uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Gunns will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Gunns shoots in but Sinkila avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Gunns throws a series of punches but Sinkila avoids them all with ease.
Sinkila has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Basics -LOD- in the buildup to the fight.
Sinkila looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Gunns is fending him off so far but Sinkila persists. Nope, Gunns circles away and we're back to standing.
Sinkila is breathing heavily.
Gunns shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Sinkila eats them both and turns towards Gunns to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Gunns looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Gunns shoots in but no luck this time.
Sinkila stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Sinkila wants it to stay on the feet.
Gunns closes this distance looking for a takedown but Sinkila circles away.

Gunns lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Sinkila at a distance.
Gunns scores with a body shot.

Gunns has taken the fight to the clinch.
A frustrated look appears on Sinkila's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Gunns tries to circle away but Sinkila has him pinned against the cage.
The referee calls for Sinkila to work.
Sinkila comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Gunns tries to pull guard but Sinkila forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Sinkila manages to break the clinch.
Gunns shoots in for a takedown but Sinkila shows good takedown defense.

Sinkila fails to land with a series of punches.
Sinkila avoids the head kick by Gunns.
Gunns is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Sinkila tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Gunns was well out of range. Poor timing from Sinkila.
Gunns closes the distance and clinches up with Sinkila, looking for a takedown. Gunns pushes Sinkila against the cage but Sinkila circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Sinkila gets in close and instigates a clinch.
With the fighters up against the cage, Sinkila throws an elbow but misses.
Sinkila is looking to control Gunns's arms but Gunns gets an underhook and turns him. Now Sinkila has his back to the cage.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Gunns wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Sinkila can't break the clinch.
Sinkila is trying to break the clinch but Gunns has him pressed against the cage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tommy Gunns dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Tommy Gunns seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Horrible takedown by Gunns or perhaps it was just good defense by Sinkila which made him look bad.
No joy there for Sinkila, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Sinkila stuffs the takedown.
Gunns tries to score a power double leg takedown but Sinkila sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Gunns somewhat.

Sinkila ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Sinkila no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Sinkila throws a looping overhand right but Gunns ducks down to avoid it.
Gunns shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Sinkila as he jumps to the side.

Gunns fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Sinkila, pushing him back against the cage.

Sinkila jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Gunns walks away with a smile on his face. Sinkila gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Gunns shoots in looking for a takedown. Sinkila tries to sprawl out of it but Gunns keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Sinkila manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Gunns dives in for a single leg takedown but Sinkila sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Gunns throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Gunns pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Gunns gets underhooks to prevent Sinkila's takedown attempt.

Gunns manages to break the clinch.
Gunns changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Sinkila tries to avoid it but Gunns manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Sinkila to the ground. Sinkila escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Gunns shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Sinkila but Sinkila pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Sinkila throws a right and a left that Gunns avoids nicely.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Tommy Gunns.
I've got Gunns winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
