The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
San Pedro blocks a low kick nicely.
Cox tries to clinch but San Pedro is having none of it.
Gregorio San Pedro seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cox is looking to land body kicks.

Cox has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

and Cox counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
San Pedro lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
San Pedro throws a looping overhand right but Cox ducks down to avoid it.

Cox defends well against a solid takedown attempt from San Pedro.

San Pedro closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

San Pedro goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
San Pedro pushes Cox back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Oooooh!!! San Pedro has knocked Cox down with a huge combo! San Pedro steps away and waves a wobbly Cox back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

It looks like Jasper Cox has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
San Pedro comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
A looping hook to the body misses from San Pedro. Cox does a little dance to reset his feet.
Cox throws a shot from downtown. San Pedro moves away and avoids it.

Cox takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

San Pedro on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Cox. Cox obviously looking to wear him down.
San Pedro tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Cox was well out of range. Poor timing from San Pedro.
Cox takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
San Pedro ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
San Pedro throws a body punch but Cox moves out of range.

San Pedro steps in with a hook that catches Cox right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! San Pedro follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Cox looks absolutely devastated.
