The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Salonga gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Kabovik to score an easy takedown into full guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Salonga stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Salonga wants it to stay on the feet.

Kabovik throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Salonga tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Kabovik is in Salonga's guard.

Salonga isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Kabovik stacks Salonga on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Kabovik!

Salonga is trying to remain composed but Kabovik is hammering down strikes to the side of his head.
Kabovik is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Kabovik gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Kabovik gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Kabovik apologises and we restart here on the feet.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Salonga fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Kabovik avoids it really well and circles away.
