Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Micheal Hall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Benji Hidori (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hidori has chosen allejandro as his entrance music. Benji Hidori is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Micheal Hall!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 10 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Benji Hidori!
The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Sandra Marshall and Santiago Holmes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hidori closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hall gets back to half guard.
Hidori wants to take a breather but Hall is having none of it.
Hall is looking for a sweep. Hidori is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Hall flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Hall is looking to improve his position.
Hall gets full guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hall is trying to control the position but Hidori postures up.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Hall is on top in guard.
Hall trying to control but Hidori is working from the bottom.
Hall chips away with some ground and pound.
Hall makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Hall lands a couple of elbows.
Hall throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Hall is looking to work some ground and pound but Hidori has wrist control.

Hidori not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Hidori looking for a guillotine here but Hall defends easily.
Hall lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Hall looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Hall wants to work for an arm triangle but Hidori is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hidori wants to control but Hall is keeping busy.

Hall seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Hidori is refusing to be controlled, as Hall sits in half guard.
We've been informed that Hidori has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Hidori is not content to let Hall control the position.
Hidori really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hall. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Hidori has hold of Hall's hands but Hall slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Hall takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Hidori has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Hall is working away from the top position though.

Hall working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Hall seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Hall has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

That's time! Hall's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.



Hall manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Hidori on his heels. He'll look to pass Hidori's guard now, I'm sure.

Hidori is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Hall is aware though and is defending well.

Hall controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Hall postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

Hall will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Hidori keeping moving, preventing Hall from controlling successfully.
Hall really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Hall is working Hidori over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Hall drops back, looking for a kneebar! Hidori looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Hidori looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Hidori!
Hall is looking to reverse the position.
Hall manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.

Hall is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Hidori's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Hidori's back!
Hall is not going to allow Hidori to sit and survive in this position.
Hall is looking to finish with some ground and pound!
Hall lands with a hammerfist to the side of Hidori's head.

Hidori is trying to stand back up.

Hall is persistently looking for the submission but Hidori is defending it well.

Hidori defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Hall's arms.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Hall has the hooks in. Hidori is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
Hall is working the ground and pound here and the referee is taking a close look at Hidori. He must escape soon or this one will be stopped.

Hidori is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Hall gets his way!

Hall is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Hidori can do to turn this around?

Hall fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Hidori to the ground. Hall is now in Hidori's guard.

Hall is just content to waste time from the top position. Hidori takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Hall stops Hidori from standing up.

Hall has gone for a leg lock! Hidori slips out almost immediately though and dives into Hall's guard.
Hall looking to hit a scissor sweep but Hidori is one step ahead there.
Hidori would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Hall keeping moving, preventing Hidori from controlling successfully.

Hall tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Hall is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Hall manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Hall is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Hidori to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Hidori shrugs it off.

Hall lands a big shot there that rocks Hidori but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Hall can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Hidori is looking to escape.

Hall has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Hidori's face.
Hall cracks Hidori with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Hall lands a big shot to the head and Hidori winces in pain. He's tapped out due to strikes!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Micheal Hall!
In defeat, Benji Hidori stepped up to the mic, saying 'I have dishonored myself and my fans.'.
