Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Thomas Engine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Franz Grave (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Engine might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Crazy train. Thomas Engine has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Thomas Engine!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Franz Grave!
The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Jeff Smith and Colin Fray.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Grave has managed to clinch.
Engine blocks a body shot from Grave.
Grave doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Engine can't break the clinch.

Engine has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Grave uses from the top position.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Grave trying to control the position from guard on top but Engine is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Grave's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Grave trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Engine has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Grave passes Engine's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Engine is looking for a sweep. Grave is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Engine is staying active underneath Grave, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Engine is in trouble now - Grave has advanced to mount!
Grave is looking to work his way around to Engine's back. He needs to be careful though, as he's in danger of losing this dominant position.
Engine knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Grave on the ground.

Grave with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Grave looking to control but Engine is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Grave tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Engine is squirming around, avoiding Grave's attempts to control the action.

Grave working for a guillotine from mount but Engine is in no mood to give up.
Grave seems to be looking to move to his opponent's back but Engine is holding on tight.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Grave tries to control but Engine wriggling away.

Grave working for a submission but Engine is keeping him at bay.
Grave wants to control the pace but Engine is squirming around nicely.

Grave looking to isolate an arm here. Engine doesn't see it coming and as Grave extends the arm, he's forced to tap out! Nice submission by Grave!
