Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between John Lakanik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Laph Roaig (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Roaig has chosen The Doors - Alabama song as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. John Lakanik is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 12 - 1, fighting out of New York, Laph Roaig!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, David Schapiro and Columbo Gatti.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lakanik misses with an attempted mid kick.
Roaig bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Lakanik's head backwards.

It looks like John Lakanik has been cut.
Roaig swings and misses with a hook to the body.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Roaig has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Roaig manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Lakanik on his heels. He'll look to pass Lakanik's guard now, I'm sure.

John Lakanik seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Roaig is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Lakanik enables Roaig to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Lakanik manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Roaig is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Lakanik is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Lakanik has escaped and now he's on top!
