Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mark Dill (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dwyane Griffin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dill's entrance music is Safri Duo - Played A Live. A fine choice. The crowd seem to be enjoying Griffin's choice of entrance music: Tech N9ne - Am I A Psycho? (Feat. B.o.B. and Hopsin) . Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mark Dill!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dwyane Griffin!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Ian Loll and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dill wants to clinch up but Griffin keeps it at a distance.
Griffin looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Dill fails with a takedown attempt.
The crowd cheers as Dill lands an impressive looking overhand right. Griffin doesn't seem phased though.
Griffin defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Dill.
Dill tries to score a power double leg takedown but Griffin sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Dill somewhat.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mark Dill. That's going to take a lot out of him.

and Griffin holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Griffin tries a knee to the head but Dill blocks it.
Dill lands with a left to the head.
Griffin tries to land knees in the clinch but Dill avoids the damage to the body.
Our sources have told us that Dill has been working on his knees in the buildup to the fight.

Griffin on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

Griffin manages to break the clinch.
Dill goes for a double leg but Griffin avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Griffin continues to drive forward.

Griffin looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Dill throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Griffin's head.

Dill throws a sloppy head kick and Griffin moves out of range easily.
Dill shoots in for a double leg but Griffin sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Dill goes for a double leg but Griffin avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Griffin continues to drive forward.
Griffin misses with a hook from the clinch.
Dill on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Dill connects with a knee to the head.

Dill is looking to break free of the clinch but Griffin has double underhooks.

Griffin tries to pull guard but Dill forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Dill is looking to stand up but Griffin isn't so interested in that idea.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Dill manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
Griffin changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Dill fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Dill throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Griffin.

and Dill counters with a head kick. That will keep Griffin thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Dill shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Griffin sprawls well. Griffin wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Dill gets slowly back to his feet.
Griffin slaps away a takedown attempt from Dill, before circling back to the center of the mat.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Griffin is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Dill is defending well for now.
Dill jumps guard but Griffin stands there with Dill around his waist. Dill gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Griffin is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Griffin will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Dill up against the cage.
Dwyane Griffin seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far.

Dill is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Griffin to keep the fight standing.

Dill lands an elbow that stopped Griffin in his tracks for a moment.
Dill tries to circle away but Griffin has him pinned against the cage.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Griffin avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Dill gets to his feet - Griffin follows without any prompting.
Griffin drops his hands momentarily and Dill takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Dill throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Griffin's head.
Dwyane Griffin is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Dill shoots in for a takedown but Griffin shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Griffin tries to clinch but Dill is having none of it.
Dill lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Dill shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Griffin pinned against the cage. Griffin gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Griffin is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Dill.
Griffin tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Dill paws at him with a jab and circles away.

and Dill counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Griffin is lucky that one didn't land flush.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Mark Dill will probably get the nod.

and Dill counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Mark Dill.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Dill, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
