Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
13 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kwame Akabaro!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

5 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Narcizo Thomas!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Yves DeLean and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Akabaro lands a jab to Thomas's midsection.
Akabaro stuffs the takedown.
Akabaro jabs at Thomas's body.
Akabaro swings and misses with a hook to the body.
A nice leg kick lands there from Akabaro.
Akabaro keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Thomas fails with a takedown attempt.
Kwame Akabaro has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Narcizo Thomas.
Akabaro feints a jab promting Thomas to slip. Akabaro then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Thomas slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Akabaro stuffs the takedown.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Thomas fails with a takedown attempt.
Thomas shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Akabaro sprawls well. Akabaro wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Thomas gets slowly back to his feet.
Thomas looks winded!
Thomas takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Thomas shoots in but Akabaro avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Thomas doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Akabaro connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Akabaro closes the distance and lands a crisp combination that knocks Thomas out cold! Thomas corner are devastated, head in hands behind our commentary position. Poor guys.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:08 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Kwame Akabaro!
In his post fight interview, Kwame Akabaro started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
