Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Esteban Scott!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Dillan Fox and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jaa tries to clinch but Scott is having none of it.
Jaa tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Scott misses the jab.
Jaa misses with a head kick.

Scott shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Scott looking to pass the guard.
Scott is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Scott stops Jaa from standing up.
Scott pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Jaa is keeping the position for now.
Scott trying to control the position from guard on top but Jaa is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Jaa can't keep his opponent in guard - Scott advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Scott is looking to advance position but Jaa won't allow it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Scott perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Scott works his foot free and advances to mount.
Jaa has given up his back. Will we see Scott going for some submissions?
Jaa is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Scott.
Jaa covering up well and avoiding damage.

Jaa looking very determined here, making life difficult for Scott.
Jaa is trying to get back to his feet but Scott has full control of the position and if anything, Jaa has just worked his way into a worse spot.

Scott is cranking Jaa's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Jaa! He's tightened the choke and Jaa is tapping out!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Esteban Scott!
