Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Manuel Trujillo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Felipe Soares (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Stewart Dunkirk and George Francis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Soares shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Trujillo but Trujillo pushes him off and we're back to square one.
A head kick misses from Trujillo.

Soares scores with a takedown into Trujillo's guard.
Trujillo looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Soares trying to control the position from guard on top but Trujillo is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Soares keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Trujillo's head.
Trujillo can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Soares controls the pace.
Trujillo wants to get back to his feet but Soares is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Soares stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Trujillo swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Soares has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Trujillo will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Trujillo pushes Soares up against the cage in a clinch.

Soares has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Trujillo regains guard immediately.

Soares drops back looking for a leg! Trujillo is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Trujillo manages to kick Soares off! Soares jumps back into Trujillo's guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Soares landing a few strikes.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Trujillo tries to buck Soares off but Soares is having none of it.
Soares has knee on belly and moves into mount.
Trujillo is breathing heavily.

Soares lands a nice shot to the head.

Trujillo is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Soares has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Trujillo's face.
Soares is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Trujillo can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Soares breaks from Trujillo's wrist control and lands an elbow.

Soares is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Soares extends the arm and Trujillo is forced to tap!
