The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Proctor or perhaps it was just good defense by Duffy which made him look bad.

so Proctor counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

We've been hearing good reports from Duffy's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Proctor looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Duffy has picked Proctor up and slammed him! Proctor can't keep hold of the triangle and Duffy manages to pass to side control!

That was a close round but I would say that Mikey Duffy will probably get the nod.

Proctor throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Duffy escapes and throws Proctor's legs to the side, diving into side control!

After the fight, Mikey Duffy was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
