The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alvarez misses with a double jab
letting Little counter with a right hand.
Little looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Alvarez fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
A solid body kick from Alvarez.
Alvarez looks to land a combination but Little avoids it well.

and Alvarez is countered with a crisp right hand from Little that sends him to the canvas! Little follows him to the mat into side control.

Alvarez is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Little cracks Alvarez with a big right hand but Alvarez just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Oh Alvarez is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Little wants to stand but Alvarez has his arm trapped.
Little controlling from side mount.
Alvarez seems to have got his legs back now.
You can see the frustration on Alvarez's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Alvarez is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Little asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Alvarez is looking to regain half guard here but Little keeps moving and retains side control.
Little controls the position.
Little wants to stand but Alvarez has his arm trapped.

Alvarez tries to bench press Little off him but Little keeps the position.
Alvarez gets back to half guard.
Alvarez wants to control but Little is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Alvarez is looking for a sweep. Little is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Little really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Alvarez. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Alvarez makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Alvarez.
Little won't allow Alvarez to sweep him here.

Little's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Alvarez looking to hit a scissor sweep but Little is one step ahead there.
Little wants to stand but Alvarez has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Alvarez controls Little momentarily but Little frees himself.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Little is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Bobby Little hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Alvarez wants to clinch but Little slips to the side
and Little counters with a straight right hand.
Chris Alvarez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Little counters with an outside leg kick.
Alvarez is breathing heavily.
Nice takedown defense from Little. No joy for Alvarez on that attempt.
Little throws a nice looking combination but Alvarez bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Little tries a low kick but Alvarez avoids it.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Alvarez wants to clinch up but Little keeps it at a distance.

and Little counters with a stiff jab, followed by a cross and an uppercut! That's too much punishment for Alvarez to take - he tumbles to the canvas, blood pouring from his nose, barely conscious. That's the end of the fight! Great knockout by Little!
