Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, James Jo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Joe Benedict!
The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Peter Branson and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jo rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Benedict moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Jo fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Benedict, pushing him back against the cage.
Benedict has Jo pressed against the cage, preventing Jo from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Benedict tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Jo smiles and moves away.
Benedict tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Benedict closes the distance and pushes Jo back into the cage.
Benedict jumps guard but Jo stands there with Benedict around his waist. Benedict gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Benedict tries to break the clinch but Jo is controlling the position.
Benedict throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Jo gets underhooks to prevent Benedict's takedown attempt.
James Jo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joe Benedict.
Benedict jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Jo walks away with a smile on his face. Benedict gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Benedict is looking to clinch but Jo is avoiding it.

I really don't envy Benedict right now.

That was a close round but I would say that James Jo will probably get the nod.

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Jo here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to James Jo.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Jo, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
