Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Eddyy Gonzales (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eric Eel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Eric Eel was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

3 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Eric Eel!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Skip Squint and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gonzales connects with an inside leg kick.
Gonzales is looking to land body kicks.
Gonzales looks to land a body kick but Eel moved away.
Gonzales throws a lazy body kick
and Eel counters with a body kick.
Eel takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Eel plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Eel throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Gonzales tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Eel is in Gonzales's guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Gonzales wants to stand but Eel is controlling the position.
Eel passes Gonzales's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Eel is taking a breather. Gonzales says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Gonzales is trying to stand.
Gonzales scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Eel manages to mount him!

Gonzales is trying to stand but he's not in a good position to be doing that! Eel has taken his back!

Gonzales is breathing heavily.
Gonzales is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
Eel is throwing punches to the body, looking to soften Gonzales up.
Eel is looking for the choke from the back position but Gonzales is controlling his hands well.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Eel controlling the position well here. Gonzales rolled but Eel kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.

Gonzales definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Eel lands with a nice looking elbow that stuns Gonzales.

Gonzales is trying to get back to his feet but Eel has full control of the position and if anything, Gonzales has just worked his way into a worse spot.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Eel scores with a nice shot to the head of his opponent. Gonzales is looking for a way out.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Eric Eel dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Gonzales misses with a kick to the body.
Eel closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Gonzales did well to prevent Eel getting side control.

Eel is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Gonzales wants to get back to his feet.
Eel escapes and gets back to his feet.
Gonzales misses with a kick to the body.
Eel scores with a jab. Gonzales acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Gonzales.

Gonzales goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.

and Eel counters with a takedown into side control.
Gonzales is rocked!
Eel stands up and beckons Gonzales to his feet.
Oh Gonzales is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Eel lands a huge takedown. Gonzales is out but the ref is slow to react and Eel lands 3 more undefended punches before the fight is stopped. Brutal finish. Gonzales lies on the canvas for a good minute before the doctors bring him round. Good to see he's OK.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:16 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Eric Eel!
