The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Demetriou avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Demetriou connects with a jab.
Diaz lands with a hook. Demetriou tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

It looks like Nick Demetriou has been cut.
Diaz tries to clinch but Demetriou is having none of it.
Diaz just misses with a punch to the body.
Demetriou swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Diaz.

Diaz wants to clinch up but Demetriou keeps it at a distance.
