Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Larry Bowen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zenon Siekiera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Siekiera has chosen ScHoolboy Q - Man Of The Year as his entrance music. Larry Bowen has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Zenon Siekiera!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Wagner Zegers and Albert Achterberg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bowen shoots for a takedown but Siekiera saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Bowen gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Siekiera takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Siekiera rushes Bowen and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Bowen postures up in Siekiera's guard and throws a big left but Siekiera blocks it.

Bowen is working Siekiera over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Siekiera pushes Bowen off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

Siekiera fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Bowen sprawls well initially but Siekiera persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Siekiera looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Bowen with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Siekiera seems to be trying to get a kimura but instead Bowen has recovered full guard.

Bowen looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Siekiera must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Siekiera decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Siekiera closes the distance and pushes Bowen back into the cage.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Siekiera can do anything to dispel that myth.

Siekiera has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Bowen is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.

Bowen shoots in looking for a takedown but Siekiera manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Bowen's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Siekiera landing knees to the body.

Siekiera connects with a nasty looking knee right to Bowen's face.

Bowen creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Siekiera uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Siekiera displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Bowen.
Bowen looks for a takedown but Siekiera sprawls well.

Siekiera drops back, looking for a kneebar! Bowen looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Bowen looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Bowen!
Siekiera is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

Oh Bowen is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Siekiera lands a nice uppercut.


Larry Bowen's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.

Siekiera pushes Bowen against the cage. Siekiera is working some dirty boxing. Siekiera pushes off with a quick right hook! Bowen goes down! Bowen tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! Siekiera moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!
