Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Chance Crosby (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kye Clarke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chance Crosby has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Chance Crosby!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Kye Clarke!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, William Gold and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Clarke ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Clarke throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Crosby gets caught napping as Clarke dives in and scores a takedown. Crosby manages to retain guard.
Clarke throwing strikes from guard but Crosby blocks nicely.
Clarke in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Clarke throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Crosby works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Crosby is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Clarke stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Crosby swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Clarke looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Crosby looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Crosby has control of Clarke's left arm, preventing Clarke from doing any damage.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Clarke feints and as Crosby raises his hands in defense, Clarke changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Crosby controls Clarke momentarily but Clarke frees himself.
Crosby looking for a sweep. Not yet Crosby, not yet.
Clarke really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Crosby. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Crosby can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Clarke controls the pace.

Crosby is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Clarke wants to stand but Crosby is controlling his posture from full guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Clarke.

and Crosby moves into the clinch.
Clarke blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Crosby tries a body shot but Clarke blocks it.

Crosby pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Clarke rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Crosby moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Clarke tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Crosby swivels and escapes.

Clarke shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Crosby but Crosby pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Chance Crosby has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kye Clarke.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Crosby shoots in and drives through. Clarke sprawls well.

Clarke throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Clarke misses with a takedown attempt - Crosby sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Crosby scores with a push kick.
Clarke stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Clarke wants it to stay on the feet.
Crosby dives in for a single leg takedown but Clarke sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Crosby throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Clarke blocks it with crossed arms.

Crosby changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Clarke fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Crosby closes this distance looking for a takedown but Clarke circles away.
Clarke misses with a jab, cross combination.
Clarke defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Crosby.
Crosby shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Clarke as he jumps to the side.
Clarke misses with a two punch combination.
Clarke displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Crosby.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Clarke shoots in but no luck this time.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kye Clarke dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Clarke misses with a few strikes there.
Clarke throws a right and a left that both miss.

Clarke shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Crosby is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Crosby is pressing down on Clarke's thigh, looking to free his foot. Clarke is holding on for now.

Crosby really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Crosby is trying to work for a kimura but Clarke is defending well.

Crosby wants to work for an arm triangle but Clarke is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Crosby is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Crosby is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Clarke doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Crosby.

Crosby tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Crosby has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Crosby wants to lay and pray for a moment but Clarke keeps working.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Clarke can do anything to dispel that myth.

Crosby wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Clarke, who protects the arm well.

Chance Crosby overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Crosby is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Clarke is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Crosby is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Clarke is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Clarke moves into the clinch successfully.

Crosby pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Clarke displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Crosby.
Crosby takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Clarke clinches up with Crosby and pushes him back against the cage.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Crosby is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Clarke is defending well for now.

Clarke has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Crosby is trying to keep an underhook but Clarke manages to get the takedown into half guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Chance Crosby.

Crosby has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Clarke uses from the top position.

Clarke closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Clarke lands in his opponent's guard.

Kye Clarke seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Clarke misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Crosby shoots in for a double leg but Clarke sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Kye Clarke comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Clarke has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
