With a record of 2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Monty Reynolds!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Steven Brown and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A slow jab from Reynolds misses its intended target.
Cage avoids a kick to the body.
Reynolds is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Reynolds tries to close the distance and clinch but Cage swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Monty Reynolds seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A big right from Reynolds misses.
Reynolds works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.


It looks like Jackson Cage has been cut.
Reynolds is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Cage.
Reynolds throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Reynolds throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.

Cage walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Reynolds throws a right and a left that both miss.
Reynolds throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Cage throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Reynolds lands with a cross.
Reynolds tries to clinch there but Cage circles away.
Reynolds throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Cage counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Reynolds's guard now.
Cage stays in close to Reynolds's body and controls the position.
Reynolds keeping moving, preventing Cage from controlling successfully.
Cage stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Reynolds swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Reynolds is breathing heavily.

Cage content to stall in guard here.
Cage wants to control from the top but Reynolds keeps moving.
Cage is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Reynolds is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Cage cracks Reynolds with a solid left hand.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Reynolds is trying to control the position but Cage postures up.
Cage won't allow Reynolds to get back to his feet.
Reynolds keeping moving, preventing Cage from controlling successfully.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Cage trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Reynolds throws a nice looking combination but Cage bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

and Cage counters with a lovely shot to the body.

Cage drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
A lull in the action here as Cage stalls from top position.
Reynolds is trying to control Cage's posture but Cage avoids it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Cage's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Cage tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.

Reynolds tries to clinch

and Cage counters with a shoot takedown. Reynolds fights it but they end up in guard.
Cage won't allow Reynolds to get back to his feet.

and Cage counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Cage working over Reynolds with some ground and pound. Reynolds looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Cage tries to pass the half guard into mount. Reynolds knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Cage takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Reynolds gets full guard.
Cage is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Reynolds is on top in guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Reynolds stands and steps away. Cage gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Reynolds scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

Reynolds throws a right hand that Cage ducks under and follows up with a left that Cage also avoids with ease.
A combination from Reynolds does no damage.

Cage fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Reynolds sprawls well initially but Cage persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Cage is thwarting Reynolds's attempts to control the position.
Jackson Cage overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Cage controlling the action here.
