Benton comes to the cage accompanied by N.W.A - Straight Outta Compton. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

With a record of 15 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Franklin James Gatti!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Frank Dennis and Wesley Smith.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Benton tries to clinch up but Gatti circles away and keeps his distance.
Nice shot lands for Benton.
No joy there for Benton, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Benton jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Benton tries to move into range but Gatti moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Gatti looks to throw the jab but Benton is out of range.
Benton wants to clinch
enabling Gatti to counter with a crisp jab.
Benton listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Gatti throws a series of punches but Benton avoids them all with ease.
Gatti walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Benton tries to clinch up.
Gatti goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Gatti avoids the body shot from Benton.
Benton fails with the takedown.
Gatti lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Gatti throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Benton misses the jab.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Benton crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Gatti - the referee stops the clock and Benton gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Gatti. Benton manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Benton closes the distance but Gatti moves to the side
and Gatti connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Benton misses with a straight left.

Gatti keeps the fight on the outside.
Gatti lands with an uppercut that bounces Benton off the cage and back into range.
Benton swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Gatti takes a kick to the side of the head.
Gatti throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

Benton comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Franklin James Gatti is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Benton throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Gatti drops Benton with a beautiful combination! Benton stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Gatti is looking for the KO!

Benton is rocked!
Gatti slaps away a takedown attempt from Benton, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Benton scores with a jab.

Benton misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Gatti lands a nice looking body shot.
Gatti scores with a jab. Benton acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

Gatti cracks Benton with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Benton looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Gatti finish him?
Oh Benton is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Benton is aggressively charging in as Gatti backs up avoiding any damage. Gatti tosses out a jab and Benton runs right into it face first! Benton is out cold! Gatti dropped down on all fours and is barking in Benton's face like a pit bull in celebration until the ref was finally able to pull him away!
