The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hooper shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. West manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Hooper trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Hooper throws a big elbow that misses.
West throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Hooper stays in close to West's body and controls the position.
West throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
West thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Hooper sitting in guard here, content to control.

We're going to have a standup here because Faustino Hooper wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
West goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
West will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
West misses with a double jab.
West is looking to land body kicks.

That's one minute gone in the round.
West with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
A good leg kick by West.
Hooper is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
West throws a nice looking combination but Hooper bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
The fight stays on the outside here - Hooper looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
West tries to bum rush Hooper with a series of wild strikes but Hooper uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
West is looking to slow Hooper down with leg kicks.
West lands a front kick.
Brad West is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
West tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Hooper throws a lazy right hand but West sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
A head kick misses from West.
West looks for the body kick but Hooper saw that one coming.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
West throws a head kick that Hooper semi-blocks.

It looks like Faustino Hooper has been cut.
West connects with a single shot there.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Hooper shoots in for a takedown but West shows good takedown defense.
Hooper throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
West with a nice cross.
West throws a quick inside leg kick.
West scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Hooper really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
West feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Hooper's calf.
The fighters circle, before West throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Hooper's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! West lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!
