Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Travis Riley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Riel Dan Reyes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Reyes is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Bad House Music ('98 Dub Mix). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

With a record of 24 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Riel Dan Reyes!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Riley lands a glancing blow to the side of Reyes's head.

I was talking to Riley's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Riley throws a punch but it's blocked by Reyes.
Riley tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Reyes's elbow.

Reyes escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Reyes tries to move into range but Riley moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Riley does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Riley shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Riley takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

Reyes looks to land a left hand but Riley moved out of range nicely.

Reyes throws a lazy right hand but Riley sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Reyes's coach down at Rape Academy was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Reyes's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
