Coming up we have a light heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Shamus McDermid (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Khaled Khaled (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McDermid comes to the ring accompanied by The Drunken Scotsman - The Irish Rovers. Khaled has chosen DJ Khaled - Out Here Grindin' as his entrance music. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Khaled Khaled was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Khaled Khaled!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Yuuki Gou and Taro Takaoka.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Khaled darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
McDermid connects with an inside leg kick.

McDermid fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Khaled, pushing him back against the ropes.
Our sources have told us that McDermid has been working on his knees in the buildup to the fight.
McDermid lands an elbow that stopped Khaled in his tracks for a moment.

It looks like Khaled Khaled has been cut.
Khaled misses with the head strike.
Khaled blocks the elbow strike.
McDermid on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Khaled blocks an elbow strike.
McDermid gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
McDermid misses with an elbow over the top.
Nice body punch from Khaled - that landed with a thud.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
McDermid pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the ropes.

Khaled breaks from the clinch.
Khaled avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Khaled chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Khaled throws a sloppy head kick and McDermid moves out of range easily.
Khaled swats away the attempt to clinch by McDermid.
McDermid pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
McDermid connects with a solid leg kick.
McDermid misses with a kick to the body.

McDermid tries to work over Khaled's front leg with a kick but Khaled checks it.
Shamus McDermid seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The fighters circling - McDermid throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
A telegraphed right hand from Khaled misses the target.
Khaled scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Khaled connects with an inside leg kick.
Khaled fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
McDermid is looking to land body kicks.
Khaled lands a lovely overhand right.
McDermid moves out of range as Khaled throws a body kick.
McDermid misses the shot to the body.
Khaled takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Khaled uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by McDermid.
Khaled throws a hook but McDermid avoids it easily.
McDermid throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Khaled lands a leg kick that knocks McDermid off balance momentarily.
Khaled throws a leg kick which misses McDermid's front leg but catches the back leg as McDermid tries to avoid it.
McDermid lands a head kick. Khaled smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

It looks like Shamus McDermid has been cut.
McDermid swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Khaled throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Khaled lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Khaled misses with a kick to the body.
McDermid stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Khaled.
McDermid is breathing heavily.
McDermid takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
McDermid takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Khaled scores a knockdown with a big right hand! McDermid beats the count and gets back to his feet. The referee asks him to walk forwards and it appears he is OK so we'll continue the bout.

McDermid is rocked!
McDermid tries to get into range but Khaled steps to the side and lands a beautiful hook that drops McDermid! He's faceplanted into the mat, ass in the air... he's out cold! That's an image he won't want to show his grandkids when he gets older! Khaled scores the big KO victory!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Khaled Khaled!
Khaled Khaled made sure to give a little speech post fight, saying 'Whachu know about Head Kicks!'.
