Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Thors Hammer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jim Longbottom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Longbottom has chosen Jedi Mind Tricks - Heavy Metal Kings as his entrance music. Thors Hammer had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sloppy strikes from Longbottom. Those never looked like landing.

Longbottom scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Hammer escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Longbottom gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Hammer manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Longbottom manages to get himself to full guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Longbottom's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Hammer is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Longbottom can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

It looks like Jim Longbottom has been cut.
Hammer loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Longbottom scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Hammer land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Hammer stands and salutes the crowd.

After winning the bout, Thors Hammer thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
