Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Scotty Carter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Muhamad Frazier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Muhamad Frazier will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Scotty Carter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Muhamad Frazier!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Paul Tew and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Frazier closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Frazier lands an elbow inside that Carter shrugs off.


It looks like Scotty Carter has been cut.

Carter pulls guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Frazier won't allow Carter to sweep him here.
Frazier would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Carter is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Frazier got a little sloppy there for a moment and Carter has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Frazier has managed to get both his arms back between Carter's legs - danger averted.
Carter will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Carter is looking to stand up but Frazier isn't so interested in that idea.

Carter is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Carter perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Carter stops Frazier from getting back to his feet.

Scotty Carter has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Frazier darts in trying to clinch
and Carter counters with a stiff right hand.

and Carter counters by moving into the clinch.

Carter is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Frazier to keep the fight standing.
A bit of stalling here from Frazier.
Carter blocks the elbow strike.
Carter is trying to stall.
Frazier comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Carter tries to pull guard but Frazier won't allow it.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Scotty Carter. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Frazier lands an elbow inside.
Carter is breathing heavily.
Frazier lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.


Scotty Carter's cut is getting worse.
Frazier lands a nice knee to the body.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Frazier lands an elbow just above Carter 's eye.


Scotty Carter's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Frazier throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Carter blocks it with crossed arms.
Frazier is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Carter is keeping busy.
Carter takes an elbow to the temple.
Frazier looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Carter creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Carter really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Frazier tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Carter is trying to pull guard but Frazier has him pressed against the cage.
Frazier misses with a knee strike.
Frazier effectively controlling the action here.
Frazier lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
Nice elbow from Frazier.


Carter is rocked!


Jeez, Scotty Carter's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
Frazier with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.
Oh Carter is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Frazier pulls back and lands a big elbow that stuns Carter! Frazier unloads with more strikes and Carter sinks to his knees! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Muhamad Frazier!
