The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ruslanov wants to clinch up but Venor keeps it at a distance.
Venor with a jab.
Venor fails to land with a series of punches.
Venor throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Ruslanov counters with a nice leg kick.
Ruslanov keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Ruslanov ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Venor misses with a few strikes there.
Venor looks to score with a jab to the body but Ruslanov is just out of range.
Ruslanov swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Venor counters with a left and a right that stings Ruslanov.
Venor keeps the fight on the outside.
Ruslanov shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Venor defends it nicely.
Venor avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Venor throws a right and a left that both miss.
Ruslanov has a takedown stuffed.
A punch combination from Venor misses.
Ruslanov is looking to clinch.
Ruslanov dives in for a single leg takedown but Venor sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Venor changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Ruslanov fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Venor scores with a jab to the body.
Ruslanov tries for a takedown but Venor sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Ruslanov tries to clinch but Venor moves out of range.
Venor connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Ruslanov's hands.

and Venor cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Ruslanov takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Ruslanov is defended easily by Venor.
Venor cracks a nice hook into Ruslanov's ribs.

Ruslanov walks into a stiff left hand from Venor.
Venor catches Ruslanov with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Ruslanov is rocked!
Venor steps in with a hook that catches Ruslanov right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Venor follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Ruslanov looks absolutely devastated.
