Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Manuel Alonso (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frankie Hoggets (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alonso comes to the cage accompanied by Narco y Reincidentes - Huracán. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Frankie Hoggets!
The judges for this bout are Darius Henderson, Summer Carpenter and Ben Hemmingworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hoggets fails with a takedown attempt.
Alonso gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Hoggets connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Alonso is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Hoggets tries to bum rush Alonso with a series of wild strikes but Alonso uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Hoggets throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Frankie Hoggets seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Alonso tries to clinch up but Hoggets circles away and keeps his distance.
Alonso misses with the combination.
Hoggets swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Alonso counters with a three punch combo that has Hoggets backing up. Hoggets nods at Alonso to acknowledge the strikes.
Alonso doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Hoggets makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Hoggets fails to land with a series of punches.
Alonso throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Horrible takedown by Alonso or perhaps it was just good defense by Hoggets which made him look bad.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Manuel Alonso. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Hoggets misses with a looping left.

Hoggets dodges the punch combination from Alonso.
Alonso looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Hoggets manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Alonso on his heels. He'll look to pass Alonso's guard now, I'm sure.

Hoggets has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Hoggets wants to control from the top but Alonso keeps moving.

Alonso controls Hoggets momentarily but Hoggets frees himself.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Frankie Hoggets was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Alonso has his takedown stuffed
and Hoggets counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Hoggets is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Alonso!
Hoggets lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Hoggets content just to control the position here.
Alonso knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Hoggets on the ground.
Hoggets scoring with strikes but Alonso is staying in there.
Hoggets landing punches.

Alonso is in a horrible position here. Hoggets smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Hoggets is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Alonso can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
BOOM! Hoggets connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Hoggets tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Alonso tries to reverse the position but Hoggets maintains control.
Hoggets takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Hoggets lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Alonso hang on?
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hoggets has hold of Alonso's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Alonso manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Hoggets is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Hoggets!
