Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Emerson Jorge and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thompson goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Thompson darts in looking for a takedown but Rhodes gets double underhooks and turns Thompson into the cage.
Rhodes escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Thompson closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Thompson throwing strikes but missing, from side control.
Rhodes is looking to reverse the position.
Thompson wants to control but Rhodes is keeping him busy.
You can see the frustration on Rhodes's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Rhodes tries to buck Thompson off but Thompson is having none of it.
Rhodes gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Thompson trying to control the action but Rhodes is working from the bottom.
Thompson is stalling here. Rhodes is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Thompson seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Rhodes has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Thompson tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Rhodes wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Thompson is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
The strikes coming from Rhodes are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Thompson is trying to escape the position but Rhodes is controlling the position.
Thompson manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

Rhodes is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Thompson pulls his head out easily.
Thompson wants to take a breather but Rhodes is having none of it.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Rhodes is trying to maintain the position but Thompson is very close to passing his half guard.
Rhodes throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Thompson passes the guard and advances to mount!

Rhodes swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing.
Thompson postures up and lands a whopping elbow - oh that's hurt Rhodes bigstyle! Two more strikes land for Thompson and the fight is over!
