The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brown is looking to clinch but Erick is avoiding it.
Erick shoots for a takedown but Brown saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Brown wants to clinch.
Brown doesn't manage to clinch there - Erick circles away.
Brown stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Brown wants it to stay on the feet.
Brown is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Brown with a knee to the head.
Brown using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Erick has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Erick goes for a takedown attempt but Brown pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Erick has hold of Brown's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Brown tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Erick cranks the arm and Brown screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Brown, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
