Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dalton Figueroa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hal Tamner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tamner thows a left - swing and a miss!
Figueroa avoids a punch combination nicely.
Tamner swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Figueroa counters by clinching up.
Tamner wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Figueroa has him pressed against the cage.
Figueroa keeps control of Tamner as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Dalton Figueroa has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hal Tamner.

Tamner dives in for a single leg takedown but Figueroa sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Figueroa escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Tamner tries to score a power double leg takedown but Figueroa sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Tamner somewhat.
Tamner misses with a kick to the body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Hal Tamner will probably get the nod.

Tamner has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Figueroa avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Figueroa takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Tamner closes the distance and clinches up with Figueroa, looking for a takedown. Tamner pushes Figueroa against the cage but Figueroa circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Tamner cracks Figueroa with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

Figueroa is rocked!
Tamner sees an opening and throws a straight punch right through Figueroa's defenses. It connects perfectly with Figueroa's jaw and knocks him out cold! Wow - that's a contender for knockout of the year - absolutely brutal!
