The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ryu Silva had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Wanderson Silva is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Ryu Silva Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Wanderson Silva's back instead.

Wanderson Silva really must keep his cool here. He's controlling one of Ryu Silva's hands and whilst he does that, he's got a chance of escaping the position.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Wanderson Silva rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Ryu Silva is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Wanderson Silva is just riding it out for now. Ryu Silva eventually gives up the hold.

Ryu Silva drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Wanderson Silva manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Ryu Silva has Wanderson Silva in his guard.

Ryu Silva has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Wanderson Silva should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Ryu Silva has tightened it up now! Wanderson Silva should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
