Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Danny Daze (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Smith comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Till I Collapse kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Danny Daze has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, John Smith!
The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Edson Gomes and Thiago Cunha.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Daze shoots and misses
and Smith counters with a leg kick.

Smith fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Daze, pushing him back against the cage.

Smith manages to pull guard.
Daze trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Daze is working hard here to advance position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Daze passes Smith's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Daze content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Smith controlling the position well.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Daze scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Daze is figuring out what he wants to do next.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Daze's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Danny Daze has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
No luck for Smith with that takedown attempt.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Smith lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
Smith stalling the fight.
Daze tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Smith smiles and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Danny Daze. That's going to take a lot out of him.

and Smith holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Daze drags the fight down to the ground.

Daze has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Smith should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Daze has tightened it up now! Smith should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
