Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kashvi Jakho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rudolph McKenzie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McKenzie has chosen The Real McKenzies - Loch Lomond as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Kashvi Jakho!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Rudolph McKenzie!
The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Michael Johnstone and Santiago Holmes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

McKenzie feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

McKenzie drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and McKenzie jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
McKenzie won't allow Jakho to get back to his feet.
Jakho preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
McKenzie throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Jakho works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Jakho wants to stand up but McKenzie is controlling him.

We've been hearing good reports from Jakho's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

McKenzie wants the takedown. Jakho is fighting it off but McKenzie persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Jakho's guard against the ropes.

McKenzie seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Jakho does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

McKenzie is stalling here. Jakho is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! McKenzie seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Jakho has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
McKenzie is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Jakho got a little sloppy there for a moment and McKenzie has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Jakho has managed to get both his arms back between McKenzie's legs - danger averted.

McKenzie manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Jakho manages to get himself to full guard.

Well McKenzie has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
