Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kendrick Bowens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Henry Hogan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kendrick Bowens!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Henry Hogan!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, John Kavanagh and Russell Pearce.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Hogan gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Bowens.
Hogan is stalling here.

Hogan decides to pull guard.
Hogan keeping moving, preventing Bowens from controlling successfully.

Bowens is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Hogan is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Hogan has escaped and now he's on top!

Bowens has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Henry Hogan was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Hogan tries to sprawl but Bowens drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Bowens is trying to control. Hogan wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Bowens wants to pass the guard but Hogan is defending well.
Hogan is looking to control Bowens's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Hogan avoid being mounted?
Bowens is trying to control the action in half guard but Hogan is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Hogan won't allow Bowens to pass to mount.

Bowens goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Hogan rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Bowens's guard! Nice work there by Hogan!

Hogan wants to get up but he can't break Bowens's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Hogan slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Hogan is in close to Bowens's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Bowens is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Hogan controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Hogan lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Bowens avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hogan avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Bowens shoots for a takedown but Hogan saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Hogan gets control of Bowens's arms and successfully pulls guard. Hogan will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Bowens might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Bowens wants to stand and escape but Hogan is having none of it.

Hogan postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Bowens can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Hogan controls the pace.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bowens is looking to stand up but Hogan isn't so interested in that idea.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Henry Hogan.
Bowens keeps the fight on the outside.
Bowens lands with an uppercut that bounces Hogan off the cage and back into range.
Bowens blocks a head kick by Hogan.

Hogan shoots in and bounces Bowens off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Hogan has his foot on Bowens's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Bowens works his way back into a safe position though.

Bowens drops back, looking for a kneebar! Hogan looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Hogan looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Hogan!
Bowens gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
Bowens is trying to stand up.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Hogan is landing with some decent strikes but Bowens is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Hogan avoids the attempt from Bowens to control.
Hogan with shots to the head and body - Bowens looks very uncomfortable down there.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Henry Hogan showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!


Bowens will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Bowens throws a series of strikes that have Hogan backpedaling.

Hogan instigates a clinch.

Hogan turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Hogan manages to end up in side control.
Hogan scores with a couple of short elbows.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Hogan wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Bowens, who protects the arm well.

Hogan scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Bowens to see if he's OK.

Hogan swings around for an armbar but Bowens sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Hogan's guard.
Bowens won't allow Hogan to sweep him here.

Bowens controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Bowens won't allow Hogan to get back to his feet.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
A clash of legs there as Bowens blocks the low kick.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Bowens doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Hogan holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Hogan doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

Bowens has clasped his hands together around Hogan's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Hogan tries to buck Bowens off but Bowens is having none of it.

Bowens is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Hogan has escaped the position, nice work there.
Hogan is not content to let Bowens control the position.

Hogan is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Bowens's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

Bowens is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Hogan tries to get to full guard but Bowens has control of the leg.
Hogan makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Hogan.

Bowens sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Hogan's guard.
Bowens prevents Hogan from improving his position.
Hogan is trying to control but can't.
Kendrick Bowens has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Henry Hogan is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Bowens is keen to just control but Hogan is a slippery customer.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Henry Hogan.
I've got Hogan winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
