PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between JEes JeEs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cain Velasquez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Velasquez's choice of entrance music: UFC - Face the Pain. Cain Velasquez told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A slow jab from JeEs misses its intended target.
JEes JeEs seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
JeEs tries to clinch up

so Velasquez counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Velasquez makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
JeEs wants to get back to his feet but Velasquez is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
JeEs on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if JeEs tries to get out of the position.
Velasquez working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of JeEs's head.
Velasquez's corner is telling him to maintain position.
JeEs is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Velasquez scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Velasquez cracks JeEs with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Velasquez immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! JeEs is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Velasquez!
