The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A looping hook to the body misses from Miyamoto. Houdini does a little dance to reset his feet.
Houdini shoots in for a double leg but Miyamoto sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Houdini changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Miyamoto tries to avoid it but Houdini manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Miyamoto to the ground. Miyamoto escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Miyamoto closes the distance and pushes Houdini back into the cage.
I was talking to Miyamoto's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Houdini tries to score a body lock takedown but Miyamoto shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
