Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ellis Healing!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Eat Weed!
The judges for this bout are Ben Watson, Ron Honeybunn and Francis DeMontford.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Healing shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Weed manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Healing not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Healing stands and throws Weed's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Healing wants to control but Weed is keeping him busy.
Healing moves into full mount!
Healing sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Healing trying to control but Weed is having none of it.
Healing tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Weed flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.
Healing controlling the position easily from mount.

Healing blocks Weed's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.

Healing has control of Weed's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Weed regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Healing can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Weed is looking to escape.
Healing is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Weed is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Healing wants to finish this one by submission but Weed is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Healing.
Weed is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Healing controlling the pace for now.
Weed punching to the body and holding on for dear life.
Weed looks winded!

Healing sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Healing trying to control but Weed is having none of it.

Ellis Healing has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.

Healing closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Healing wants to lay and pray for a moment but Weed keeps working.
Weed is trying to improve his position.
The referee asks Healing politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Healing prefers to stall for the moment though.
Weed tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Weed throws a couple of strikes even though he's not really in a good position to do so.
Check out the look on Healing's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Healing slows the pace down.

Weed is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Healing locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Weed is forced to tap!
