Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Roberto Rodriguez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Phrisbee OReiley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Rodriguez might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Dan Balan Beautiful Girl. OReiley has chosen Shoot To Thrill as his entrance music. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rodriguez shoots in looking for a takedown but OReiley manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Rodriguez's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
OReiley displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Rodriguez.

and OReiley counters with a left to the body.

OReiley has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Rodriguez has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.

OReiley is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Rodriguez is defending well for now.
OReiley blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Rodriguez is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Rodriguez has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by OReiley after a bit of a struggle.

OReiley has Rodriguez pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. OReiley pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Rodriguez tumbling to the mat - OReiley dives into Rodriguez's guard.

Rodriguez tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Rodriguez escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. OReiley gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
OReiley makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
OReiley advances position into side control!

Rodriguez postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! OReiley is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Rodriguez, into his guard.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Rodriguez has a takedown stuffed.

Rodriguez closes the distance and pushes OReiley back into the cage.

OReiley works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Rodriguez will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

OReiley has gone for a leg lock! Rodriguez slips out almost immediately though and dives into OReiley's guard.

OReiley has hold of Rodriguez's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Rodriguez tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - OReiley cranks the arm and Rodriguez screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Rodriguez, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
