Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Irwin Lang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kevin Rocky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kevin Rocky has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rocky moves into the clinch.
Lang goes for a takedown in the clinch but Rocky prevents it.
Lang has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Rocky after a bit of a struggle.

Rocky breaks the clinch.
Rocky tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Lang avoids the head kick by Rocky.

Rocky closes the distance and clinches.

Rocky breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Rocky cracks Lang with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
A head kick by Rocky misses
and Lang counters with a left and a right that stings Rocky.
Rocky lands with a right hand.

Rocky pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Kevin Rocky seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rocky dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
A head kick from Rocky lands but Lang takes it in his stride.
Rocky misses with the combination.
Lang checks the leg kick nicely there.
Rocky looks to land a combination but Lang avoids it well.
Rocky keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Irwin Lang. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Lang closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Rocky misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
An inside leg kick lands from Rocky.
Kevin Rocky is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Rocky takes a swing at Lang's ribcage but misses.
Lang could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Rocky pushes Lang up against the cage in a clinch.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Lang pulls guard successfully.
Lang might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Rocky won't allow Lang to sweep him here.

Lang working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Rocky doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Rocky manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Lang has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Rocky stands and steps away. Lang gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Rocky misses with a low kick.
Rocky tries to bum rush Lang with a series of wild strikes but Lang uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Lang takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

It looks like Irwin Lang has been cut.
Rocky is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Lang takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

Lang is rocked!

Lang gets hit by the mother of all head kicks and drops to the canvas in a crumpled heap! Woooow, the Internet is going to be talking about this one for weeks!
