The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maynard scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Rockzo throws the left hand but Maynard avoids the punch easily.

Rockzo shoots for a double leg takedown but Maynard sprawls well. He's pushed Rockzo's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Maynard is looking to wear down Rockzo with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Rockzo scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Maynard doesn't seem bothered though.
Rockzo is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Maynard.

Maynard connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Rockzo's hands.

Maynard cracks Rockzo with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Rockzo is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Maynard is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
